 AMERICAN NEEDLE was founded in 1918 as an importer of sewing needles.
 With a history of nearly 100 years since its founding, the company has established itself as an innovator in the headwear manufacturing industry for three generations. In 1946, the company approached the Chicago Cubs about selling baseball caps worn by players, and was successful in gaining their consent.
 The team owner said, "Who would want to buy a hat that a player wears?", but the hats sold out in one day. This success led to the company supplying caps to major league teams across the country, and a few years later to the NFL and NHL, and the company grew into a well-known cap manufacturer in the United States.
 Today, the company leads the industry in designing and manufacturing high-quality headwear products that are admired by hat enthusiasts around the world, and has licenses from major sports leagues, companies and manufacturers, as well as over 30 design patents.
